What is SharePoint Online
SharePoint online is a
subset of Office 365 to develop and maintain SharePoint related jobs. Office
365 provides SharePoint infrastructure and SharePoint Software as a service
so the end user shouldn't have to invest huge amount of money on
building the SharePoint environment.
The hierarchy of SharePoint
online starts with Site Collection level. The farm setup and Webapplication
are supplied to the end user as part of your subscription so the end
user do not have to maintain the farm or the web application. Taking backup,
updating software, maintain the server and updating the patches are
part of subscription and tendency level of the subscription.

3. It's not supporting the features of Scope web or farm
4. Installation of dll on GAC
5. Access to the web.config file
6. Installation of code on the server
7. SharePoint Timer jobs
8. Admin access beyond site collection
9. Business Connectivity services
10. External web services
