What is Office 365 
Office 365 is the online version of Microsoft Office Products and provides the Microsoft Online Services. It helps the users to access to emails, SharePoint sites, documents and calendars from anywhere so the user is always up to date. Office 365 nearly support any device (including PC, Mac, Windows Phone, iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry).It also provides business class security and reliability.

What are Online Services
Office 365 provides the mentioned below Online Services

1. Office Professional Plus
2. Exchange Online
3. SharePoint Online
4. Lync Online
5. Office Web Apps

Here I am going to describe more related to the SharePoint Online and how it works with Office 365
What is SharePoint Online

SharePoint online is a subset of Office 365 to develop and maintain SharePoint related jobs. Office 365 provides SharePoint infrastructure and SharePoint Software as a service so the end user shouldn't have to invest huge amount of money on building the SharePoint environment.

The hierarchy of SharePoint online starts with Site Collection level. The farm setup and Webapplication are  supplied to the end user as part of your subscription so the end user do not have to maintain the farm or the web application. Taking backup, updating software, maintain the server and updating the patches are part of subscription and tendency level of the subscription.

What SharePoint Online is Supporting

1. OOTB Browser
2. SharePoint Designer 2010
3. Visual Studio 2010
 i)  Sandbox solutions
 ii) Declarative workflow
 iii) Client Object Model
 iv) Sliver light, ecma script and JavaScript

What SharePoint Online is not Supporting

1. Access to the Farm or WebApplication
2. Access to the File system
3. It's not supporting the features of Scope web or farm
4. Installation of dll on GAC
5. Access to the web.config file
6. Installation of code on the server
7. SharePoint Timer jobs
8. Admin access beyond site collection
9. Business Connectivity services
10. External web services
